Job Overview
The Senior Business Transformation Analyst will be a part of the Treasury Payments Technology, supporting the Business Transformation project team in facilitating the implementation of change initiatives. Ensures that Payments Technology requirements are documented and incorporated into project deliverables. Works with Dep Ops Leads as well as Technology and Treasury Sales to develop test scripts, execute tests and ensures a smooth transition to production and assist in implementing process improvements and efficiency gains. Prior experience with retail or commercial banking middle- or back-office operations, specifically payments processing and financial cores such as FIS and Fiserv would be beneficial
Job Description
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the work of the Business Process Analyst team -- Assist in the training, mentoring, interviewing and performance feedback of staff.
- Document business and functional requirements, including current state and target process and data flow in relation to projects impacting Dep Ops. Implement process improvements, quantify and track efficiency gains.
- Assess the impact of changes on existing organization and business processes and ensure all interdependencies are identified.
- Work with Dep Ops production team to develop project acceptance criteria and test scripts.
- Manage day to day project requirements including ensuring resource availability, following up on open items and facilitating coordination with other departments when necessary.
- Provide thought leadership on business process excellence and continuous improvement. Assist in creating a culture of continuous improvement.
- Maintain strong, mutually respectful working relationships with internal business partners and external vendors / contractors, within a complex program that aims to transform many of the core processing systems of the bank.
- Assist management in the capture, analysis and presentation of data to support the taking of business decisions.
- Collaborate with members of the Central PMO to drive requirements and keep progress on track for multiple work streams within a complex business transformation program.
Requirements
Required Skills:
- Ability to exercise initiative, problem identification, problem solving and independent decision making.
- Demonstrates excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Skilled in MS Office suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio.
- Preference for skill in Excel functions such as pivot tables, macros and formulas and the ability to present data to facilitate decision making.
- Previous experience in the use of Visio to document process flows preferred.
- Experience working in a financial institution, preferably with knowledge of Deposit and Payment products.
- Ability to coordinate amongst multiple teams to meet project-based deadlines.
- Must be able to thrive under pressure, multi-task and manage competing priorities.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree, in Degree in Business, Accounting, Engineering or related field and a minimum of 5 years' experience in business or process analysis.
- Experience in retail banking back-office operations and/or PMP or Six Sigma Certification preferred.
