Business Analyst

BigBear.ai is seeking a Business Analyst within a Product Team, your role is integral in ensuring our client's IT products meet customer needs and align with business goals. You will support the Product team and its leadership by identifying, eliciting, and decomposing requirements. You will also facilitate team ceremonies and foster effective communication, both verbally and through written artifacts and documentation. Your role sits within a continuously evolving Agile and DevSecOps environment, requiring you to proactively adapt and contribute to the organization's maturation process. Your ultimate aim is to deepen and broaden your team's impact through the delivery of innovative, desirable, and mission critical software products.

• Analyze and translate business requirements into actionable items for the product backlog
• Collaborate with the product manager to prioritize and manage product backlog items effectively
• Support the product team in evaluating and assessing the complexity and effort required for backlog items
• Assist in the creation, maintenance, and communication of product roadmaps with the product manager
• Facilitate the generation and management of team artifacts, knowledge bases, and documentation
• Contribute to the creation, submission, and management of Body of Evidence (BOE) artifacts
• Aid in planning, executing, and managing product testing processes and strategies
• Organize and refine team ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
• Identify, document, and manage dependencies across teams and external stakeholders
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product development and delivery
• Utilize tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft 365 to manage daily tasks and streamline workflows
• Mitigate risks and manage dependencies in a fast-paced software development environment
• Leverage data-driven insights to evaluate and enhance team and product performance
• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate meetings with team members, customers, and stakeholders
• Drive the development of innovative, high-quality, and mission-critical software solutions

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• Must have and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• A general understanding of popular backend and frontend technologies
• 2-4 years of experience in agile software product delivery or in direct support of a software development team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies
• Experience working in Agile and Scrum methodologies
• Familiarity with Cloud environments, particularly AWS
• Experience with Confluence and Jira
• Experience with the Microsoft 365 (M365) suite
• Experience in backlog management, including Epic, Feature, User Story development, and refinement
• Ability to be on-site at a client SCIF located in Washington D.C.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with team members
• Experience in analyzing and synthesizing data
• Interest in Data Science topics and methodology

• Proven experience and familiarity with the Intelligence Community (IC) and the intelligence cycle
• Expertise in working with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with Government Risk Management Frameworks (RMF) and cybersecurity authorization processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft technologies, including M365 and the Power Platform
• A master's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
• Demonstrated success in a similar role with transferable skills
• Comprehensive understanding of and experience with the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Strong history of contributing to the successful delivery of impactful software products
• Hands-on experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
• Familiarity with user research methodologies, with the ability to extract and apply actionable insights
• Skilled in using various project management and collaboration tools beyond standard platforms
• Demonstrated passion for staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends
• Strong capabilities in stakeholder management, including fostering positive relationships and clear communication
• Experience with cloud budgeting and forecasting
• Possession of relevant professional certifications
