Overview Abacus Technology is seeking a Computer Hardware Specialist to provide technical support for desktop, laptop, and network hardware issues, ensuring the optimal performance of IT infrastructure at Fort Bragg. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities
Lead and supervise teams in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting desktop, laptop, and network hardware.
Qualifications 6+ years experience in facilities/communications engineering, IT hardware support, and network infrastructure maintenance. Bachelor's degree in a related field. Must be Security+ certified (or hold an equivalent certification in compliance with IAT Level II). Must be MCSA certified or able to obtain the certification within six months of start date. ITIL Foundations training desired. Extensive knowledge of computer hardware installation, repair, and troubleshooting in enterprise environments. Experience supervising teams in installing software and hardware for LAN connectivity and cable plant infrastructure. Proficient in engineering site surveys, analyzing network configurations, and performing environmental impact assessments. Able to provide hands-on support for GOTS and COTS equipment repairs at all levels (line, intermediate, shop, facility, or depot). Experience with military IT infrastructure, network cabling, and structured wiring systems. Knowledge of Army IT security policies, data center operations, and cable management best practices. Familiar with enterprise hardware diagnostic tools and imaging/deployment solutions. Must have expertise in repairing complex hardware issues, organizing site surveys, designing network topologies, and ensuring compliance with safety codes and Army IT infrastructure standards. Able to interact professionally with all levels of an organization. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
