Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Project Manager to lead software development, system deployments, and IT infrastructure projects while ensuring compliance with Army IT service management standards at Fort Bragg. This is a full-time position.



Responsibilities

    Develop and maintain an IT project plan that communicates tasks, milestones, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate the delivery of development (beta) and production releases, ensuring compliance with QA standards.
  • Assist the test team in creating test plans and managing testing efforts for software and system deployments.
  • Assist the technical team in system design and development tasks, ensuring alignment with Army IT objectives.
  • Utilize software development life-cycle (SDLC) methodologies for structured and efficient project execution.
  • Serve as the Abacus Technology authorized on-site POC in the absence of the Site Manager.
  • Assume full responsibility for contract performance and IT service delivery when the Site Manager is unavailable.
  • Ensure continuity of IT operations, project execution, and compliance with Army policies and security requirements.
  • Supervise IT and telecommunications personnel, ensuring service quality, compliance, and mission readiness.
  • Supervise and mentor project teams, engineers, and IT support personnel to ensure efficient task execution.
  • Ensure all IT staff maintain required security clearances, certifications, and compliance with Army IA policies.
  • Conduct performance reviews, resource planning, and operational audits to optimize IT service management.
  • Ensure projects align with DoD, Army IT security, and quality control policies.
  • Oversee cybersecurity compliance, including RMF, DISA STIGs, and IAVM patching requirements.
  • Identify risks, scope changes, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure on-time project delivery.


Qualifications

6+ years experience in IT project management, system implementation, and software development coordination. Bachelor's degree in a related field desired. Must be PMP certified. Must be Security+ certified (or hold an equivalent certification in compliance with IAT Level II). Must hold the following BISCI certifications: Technician (TECH) and Registered Telecommunications Project Manager (RTPM). BICSI Registered Communication Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification desired. ITIL Foundations certification desired. Experience leading teams and managing IT projects within a DoD/Army environment. Proficient in software life-cycle methodologies, ITSM, and system development best practices. Experience developing test plans, managing system releases, and ensuring compliance with quality assurance (QA) standards. Strong leadership skills to support site management and IT service delivery. Experience with Agile, Scrum, or DoD project management frameworks. Familiar with ITSM tools, Army RMF guidelines, and DISA STIG compliance. Must have strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage mission-critical IT services and personnel. Able to interact professionally with all levels of an organization. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
