Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Project Manager to coordinate, manage, and deliver IT projects in alignment with Army IT and NEC objectives at Fort Bragg. This is a full-time position.



Responsibilities

    Develop and maintain an IT project plan that communicates tasks, milestones, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate the delivery of development (beta) and production releases while ensuring compliance with quality assurance standards.
  • Assist technical teams in design and development tasks, ensuring alignment with Army IT requirements.
  • Utilize software development life-cycle (SDLC) methodologies to ensure project success.
  • Assist the test team in creating test plans and coordinating testing efforts for IT solutions.
  • Ensure that IT projects undergo rigorous quality assurance (QA) checks before deployment.
  • Document and track test results, defects, and resolutions, ensuring final project deliverables meet requirements.
  • Work with Army NEC and IT leadership to define project goals, deliverables, and success criteria.
  • Manage risk, scope changes, and issue resolution throughout the project life cycle.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in IT project management methodologies.
  • Ensure projects align with DoD, Army IT security, and quality control policies.
  • Maintain compliance with ITSM best practices and Army cybersecurity requirements.


Qualifications

3+ years experience in IT project management, system implementation, or software development coordination. Bachelor's degree in a related field desired. Must be PMP certified. Must be Security+ certified (or hold an equivalent certification in compliance with IAT Level II). Must hold the following BISCI certifications: Technician (TECH) and Registered Telecommunications Project Manager (RTPM). ITIL Foundations certification desired. Proficient in IT project planning, milestone tracking, and resource allocation. Experience working with quality assurance teams to define test plans and testing efforts. Knowledge of software life-cycle methodologies, system design, and IT infrastructure. Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with technical teams and Army stakeholders. Experience with Agile, Scrum, or DoD software development frameworks desired. Familiar with ITSM tools, Army RMF guidelines, and DISA STIG compliance. Must have strong leadership, analytical, and organizational skills to drive IT project success in a fast-paced DoD environment. Able to interact professionally with all levels of an organization. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
