- Estimated annual pay: $78,000.00 (minimum) - $97,500.00 (midpoint) - $117,000.00 (maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're a Senior Mechanical Designer, we have an exciting opportunity for you. Senior level designer works with some latitude and minimal supervision, performs diverse and intermediate level design assignments. Designs could be done also on a more complex level - not only designing LRUs but also working on complete systems with all elements of the life cycle process in accordance with the PLC process. What You Will Be Doing
- Creating mechanical designs to Woodward specifications using Creo Parametric and Elements/Direct.
- Supporting manufacturing by designing work-holding fixtures, check gages, tooling, and automation end effectors (EOAT).
- Providing support for manufacturing by troubleshooting work-holding issues at the machines.
- Keeping informed of innovative industry solutions for fixturing and tooling and looking for ways to introduce these to our facility.
- May produce designs for a variety of materials including metal or 3D printed solutions.
- Support tool designs through manufacture of the tool at an outside tool vendor and into implementation of the tool into the final process.
- Apply design for cost and design for manufacturing strategies into tool designs.
What We Are Looking For
- Associate's Degree required
- Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences preferred
- 5+ years if designer experience required
- Expert CAD skills in one or more CAD software and computer skills including ERP systems. May have ability to do low level FEA using CAD tools
- Demonstrated commitment to quality and professionalism. Ability to identify continuous improvement activities to improve efficiencies or work. May own a greenbelt designation or equivalent experience with quality management systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization and customers.
