Position: Registered Nurse
Location: Outpatient Clinic, Bronx, NY
Type: Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9 AM - 4:30 PM (35 hours/week) - Enjoy your evenings and weekends off, with no holiday shifts required!

As an RN in our team, you'll be responsible for providing evaluation, diagnosis, and therapeutic intervention to those in need, enhancing their quality of life.

What We're Looking For:
The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with at least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a community-based health services setting focused on individuals with developmental disabilities.

Requirements:



  • Valid New York State Registered Nurse license and current registration in good standing
  • CPR certification
  • A valid New York State Driver's License is preferred

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:



  • Arranges medical services for persons served and issues medical referrals as needed.
  • Provides follow-up on medical problems for persons served.
  • Conducts training for staff in medical administration, personal hygiene, basic first aid, dental hygiene, infection control, adaptive equipment, vital signs, signs and symptoms of illness and other in-services as may be necessary to meet needs of persons served.
  • Handles control of communicable diseases and infections through identification and assessment, reporting to consulting physician and implementation of appropriate protective and preventive measures and staff training in regard to infection control.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings and annual reviews as required by each division.
  • Monitors required staff health records and provides tests in accordance with regulatory agency requirements.
  • Provides immediate first aid with referral to outside emergency services or private physician.
  • Participates in routine individual case reviews.
  • Prepares and maintains medical documentation on each person served
  • Administers medications when appropriate, and supervises certified staff in administration. Supervises storage of medications.
  • Provides supervision and training for Licensed Practical Nurses and/or less experienced Registered Nurses during their tenure at agency.
