This team is responsible for live support where they will be actively taking live inbound calls, emails and chats on a regular basis from internal eBay employees. Their number one priority is to offer a very high level of customer service while troubleshooting whatever technical issue the user may be having, usually by remote login into the internal eBay employees machine. Should they not have the ability to resolve the issue they will be able to escalate to L2 support but must be able to identify the issue. Ebay is mostly a Windows environment in Salt Lake, although this varies throughout their different locations. We are looking at about 60% Windows support for this team along with 40% Mac Support. The successful candidate will have knowledge of Windows 7 or above along with along with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and strong troubleshooting capabilities. They must possess an excellent level of customer service having to ability to give the end users within eBay a very warm and welcoming feeling. The customer service portion of this job is most important with their technical abilities coming in a close second. eBay has hundreds of different proprietary applications that they will need to learn but would very unlikely had any previous experience with. Training will be provided on any application they are not familiar with. A solid level of experience within technology support (~1 year) along with the passion to continue to be faced with a new challenge is something we are seeking in these candidates. Any previous experience with Mac devices, tablets and mobile devices will all be a plus.
