Job Summary:

The Indirect Category Manager will be responsible for managing the sourcing and procurement of staff augmentation and contingent labor services. This role involves developing and implementing category strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective and high-quality service delivery.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Category Strategy Development: Develop and implement multi-year category strategies for staff augmentation and contingent labor that align with business goals and objectives.
  • Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure high-quality service delivery and cost-effectiveness.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead the negotiation of Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and Statements of Work (SOWs) with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders, including HR, IT, and procurement teams, to understand staffing needs and ensure alignment with category strategies.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, addressing any issues and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with the procurement of contingent labor and staff augmentation services.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed of industry trends and best practices, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Cost Management: Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives and track cost performance against budget.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. An MBA is preferred
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing and procurement, with a focus on indirect categories such as contingent labor and staff augmentation

Skills:

  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and implement category strategies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in managing large-scale staff augmentation and contingent labor programs
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and trends in contingent labor management
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus

Cubic Pay Range:

$110,000.00 - $135,000.00* + benefits.

*Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market.

The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
