Senior Project Manager - Information Technology

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee complex projects from inception to completion. This role requires strategic planning, stakeholder management, and the ability to drive multiple high-priority initiatives while ensuring alignment with business objectives..

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Project Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including timelines, project financials, and resource allocation.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate cross-functional schedules to optimize resource allocation and prevent scheduling conflicts.
  • Communication/Change Management: Develop and execute clear communication plans to ensure all stakeholders are aligned with the changes.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment and success.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
  • Team Leadership: Guide and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and report on project progress, analyze key metrics, and adjust execution strategies as needed to achieve outcome.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all deliverables meet high standards and align with business outcomes.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older
  • Must pass pre-employment assessment(s) if applicable

Education and Experience

  • Requires BS/BA in a related discipline and generally 5-8 years of experience in a related field; or MS/MA and generally 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Scrum Master, Agile, and or Project Management certification (SAFe, CSM, PMP, etc.) required
  • Demonstrated experience with both Agile Scrum and Waterfall project management methodologies on complex enterprise-wide application projects
  • Advanced proficiency with or more project management tools, such as Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, MS Project, Smartsheets, etc.
  • Demonstrated vendor management skills including relationships, performance, contractual compliance, and problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing ERP / HRIS implementations and system conversions for medium to large enterprises
  • Experience as a business systems analyst, consultant, or architect is highly beneficial for this role.
  • Experience with Mergers & Acquisitions; integrating newly acquired organizations
  • Experience and knowledge of organizational change management principles, methodologies, and tools
  • Experience in wholesale distribution or manufacturing industry
