Job Summary

Responsible for conducting branch audits, organizing, and planning segments on multiple projects in any function, process, or business unit. Will work on project teams to define objectives, complete process analyses, identify and quantify process opportunities and facilitate and institute change for projects.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Develops and executes a project plan for a specified segment of a project; executes and delivers key work streams of a project; formulates objectives, identifies resources, sets timelines, drives execution, communicates results, and presents deliverables for segment. Works independently and remains flexible to change based on the needs of the business.
  • Determines objectives and risks of core and support processes that sustain a business strategy. Creates process maps and identifies critical success factors; interviews business customers to obtain understanding of established processes; uses data/metrics to measure the risk within a process and the impact of controls on the process opportunities; evaluates the effectiveness of controls; identifies actionable and sustainable solutions to remedy breakdowns or issues.
  • Leads teams to create sophisticated data collection plans; identifies sources of data (operational, financial, industry, etc.); gathers, analyzes, and manipulates data; resolves inconsistencies/anomalies in complex data/research; reviews data for trends and exceptions and draws sound conclusions; uses statistical data tools to graphically display and analyze results.
  • Reviews and creates cost/benefit analyses and financial/data models with limited supervision.
  • Facilitates change by understanding the vision of the function or business unit; assists management in the development of a strategy and ensure effective implementation. Identifies and removes barriers; leads in implementing changes; developing training and creating rewards/measurements.

Career Level Dimensions

Typical Training/Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline.
  • Generally, 2-5 years of experience in a related field; certification is required in some areas OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certification is required in some areas.

Problem Complexity

  • Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data.

Autonomy

  • Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual, complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor and/or direct "customers" of the process.

Leadership

  • May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support personnel or professional personnel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior auditing experience. Certification eligible CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE, etc.).
  • Strong finance/accounting and Sarbanes-Oxley experience preferred.
  • Project management experience.
