Physician - Consult Liaison Psychiatrist - Grand Rapids, MI

Corewell Health's Behavioral Health department is hiring a full time consult liaison psychiatrist to join their experienced provider team. The ideal candidate has experience with inpatient consult liaison practice. Fellowship training is also ideal, but not required.

Position Highlights

  • In person consults at our two Grand Rapids hospitals and remote telepsychiatry consults to regional hospitals

  • Team consists of two full time psychiatrists, one with fellowships in C/L and Addiction, and one full time APP

  • Teaching service with residents, medical students, and APP students

  • Academic appointment through Michigan State University College of Human Medicine

  • Monday - Friday position with weekends covered by an in person APP

  • Light call by phone 1:4 weeks

  • Very manageable patient load

  • Salaried position with full benefits

Ability to obtain a Medical License in the Michigan

Fellowship in Consult Liaison psychiatry preferred but not required

  • CRT-DEA Registration - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required Or
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 120 Days required
  • CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association If required by specialty or stress test performed 120 Days required
