We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Actuarial Analyst to support and analyze activities related to our Direct Pay, Local Group, and National Accounts Market Segments across all lines of business. - Support and analyze activities related to the Direct Pay, Local Group and National Accounts Market Segments and all lines of business
- Increase knowledge of actuarial science and insurance theory & practice, progressing to the FSA designation
- Rate analysis and development
- Forecast/variance analysis and reporting
- Claim trend analysis
What Is Required?
- Completion of one or more of the examinations from the Society of Actuaries
- Related Bachelor's degree required Math/Statistics or related degree
- 0-1 year of related work experience or equivalent combination or transferable experience and education
What Is Preferred?
- Background in health field or insurance field
- Previous Actuarial experience or internship in an Actuarial area
- SAS and/or SQL experience
- Minimum GPA of 3.2
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel
- Completion of college-level courses on micro and macroeconomics, introductory corporate finance, and applied statistical methods
- Strong analytical and technical skills to manipulate data and solve problems
- Initiative to be innovative, obtain results, and improve processes
- Sharp attention to detail to produce high quality output
- Effective communication and willingness to collaborate

We also conduct regular annual reviews with pay for performance considerations for base pay increases. Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $69,400 - $86,800 Annualized Salary Range: $69,400 - $112,800
Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
