Overview

SRI International, in Princeton, NJ, has an immediate opening for a Sr. Systems Engineer within the Advanced Technology and Systems Division (ATSD), to support a variety of activities from cyber-physical to quantum sensing systems. This position will be on-site in Princeton, NJ.

ATSD performs research and development across a wide range of disciplines spanning design to implementation of advanced optical, quantum, radar, and imaging systems, transitioning technology from basic R&D to fieldable prototypes. Our work supports US government clients with applications ranging from basic scientific exploration to national security.

The researcher will join a team of applied physicists and engineers working on R&D projects to realize proof-of-concept demonstrations and field tests for government and commercial customers. They will have opportunities to work across the full span of design, implementation, and testing of advanced prototype systems. They will be an integral part in capturing big system views, connecting all disciplines of engineering, and ensuring details are captured by the team. As an integral part of the broader team, they will work with technical team leads to solidify system and subsystem designs, formulate and flow-down requirements, and prepare design reviews for stakeholders to help ensure successful system demonstrations and program execution.
