POSITION DESCRIPTION: PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: (Minimum qualifications needed for this position) Minimum of two years college coursework in business, marketing, or health-related studies. Minimum of two years sales or service experience in the health industry. Minnesota life and health insurance license within three months of hire. Excellent presentation and communications skills, both oral and written. Ability to manage multiple project assignments. Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with personal computers, sales account management systems and word processing programs. Must be able to travel and work independently. Must be able to multi-task in a busy call center environment. Must comply with all CMS Medicare sales and marketing policies and procedures. Execution of a non-competition agreement upon hire. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Four year college degree with a preferred emphasis in business, marketing or managed health care. Minnesota Life and Health Insurance License. Experience working in a sales or service position dealing with Medicare plans, including CMS regulated plans. Experience working in a call center service and/or sales environment. Experience working with the brokerage and consulting community. Strong knowledge of HealthPartners and affiliate company operations. MAJOR CHALLENGES: Meet and exceed new sales and group retiree retention levels. Meet established daily call statistics requirements. Work with internal customers to satisfy external customers' needs and expectations. Coordinate resolution of all customer inquiries and proposals in a prompt, professional and customer-friendly manner. Manage many priority projects at the same time, spending necessary weighted time on each, prioritize and meet deadlines. Work as a team member to cooperatively meet or exceed team goals and objectives. DIMENSION: Responsible for meeting and exceeding established sales goals. Responsible for qualifying, enrolling and ensuring completeness of applications. Schedule and conduct community meetings, as needed. Assist other sales team members in meeting our monthly team sales goals. DECISION-MAKING: (What rules or precedents limit the activities and authority of this position? What types of problems or decisions are referred to the supervisor?) This position will work with a variety of internal departments. This would include working with other sales team members, Government Programs, Marketing and Underwriting.
