What You'll Do in This Position

Provide Technical Security Counter Measures (TSCM) related direction and guidance for protection of sensitive, classified communications systems to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and DOE orders using in-depth engineering, technical, and electronics knowledge. Provide advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities to independently advise and recommend
appropriate actions and implement solutions to complex security problems with sitewide implications.

Implement an effective TSCM Program designed to detect, deter, isolate, and nullify technical surveillance penetrations and technical security hazards.

Provide solutions to complex technical requirements and effectively relate technical requirements/issues to non-technical personnel, providing subject matter expertise on a broad array of technical security topics.

Provide oversight and technical support for most complex M&O facilities and/or programs to assure effective and efficient implementation of most complex protection programs for SNM, vital equipment, classified matter, Government property and
radiological, toxicological and industrial sabotage targets.

The Subject Matter Expert in regards to current and emerging capabilities, resources and technical threats. Serve as physical security matter expert for supporting most complex Vulnerability Assessments and Master Safeguards and Security Agreements development.

Serve as facility liaison with all non- host organizations for security matters.

Act as SS&ES point of contact for work requests/site work clearances and monitor the nature of the work to ensure compliance with the security aspects of the work.

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. This list of factors is not exhaustive; pre-employment information and security clearance requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Qualifications We Require

High School Diploma, GED, or other equivalent State Credential

Other Qualifications

Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOE "Q" security clearance.

Qualifications We Desire

Preferred a bachelor's degree and experience working in the Safeguards and Security organization at a DOE/DOD facility or experience (additional equivalent experience may be substituted for degree, i.e., experience working in the Safeguards and Security organization at DOE/DOD facility) in the nuclear security enterprise.

Must possess knowledge of nuclear facility operations and have overall S&S programmatic management experience. A demonstrated knowledge of DOE Orders, policies, and regulatory requirements in the DOE S&S discipline is also required.

Previous military / law enforcement / government experience would be considered relevant.
