Join Our Team as a Project Engineer!

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a knack for precision and a passion for engineering? We're looking for a dynamic Project Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in our pre-sale process. Reporting to the Manager of Major Projects, Pre-Sale, you'll be at the heart of our sales opportunities, ensuring every estimate is spot-on and every project runs smoothly.

What You'll Do:

As a Project Engineer, you'll dive deep into each sales opportunity, meticulously reviewing project scope requirements and delivering comprehensive product quotes to our Sales Manager. You'll ensure our proposed solutions are accurately drawn in our draw-to-price tool and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to quote supplementary products like freight, installation, and professional services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Master Estimator: Maintain an in-depth understanding of Spacesaver's full product line and stay updated on product innovations. Use your expertise to generate accurate bills of materials and cost estimates.
  • Tech-Savvy: Become proficient in our draw-to-price software and leverage our ERP and CRM platforms to ensure precise material cost estimates and profit margins.
  • Detail-Oriented: Perform quantity take-offs, prepare estimate packages, and ensure bid quality by organizing and reviewing all necessary documents.
  • Relationship Builder: Develop and maintain positive relationships with subcontractors and vendors through consistent communication and networking.
  • Collaborative Innovator: Work closely with cross-functional teams to discuss value engineering ideas and strategies to enhance our competitive edge.

Project Engineer Duties:

  • Document Management: Create and maintain up-to-date drawing sets and revision logs to ensure the team has the latest bid documents.
  • Support Role: Assist Project and Sales Managers with submittals, client approvals, and maintaining status reports of project items.
  • Record Keeper: Manage project records, archive outdated documents, and ensure current versions are available to the team.
  • Risk Assessor: Identify and communicate project risks to management.
  • Team Player: Collaborate effectively with various internal departments to ensure high-quality project execution.
