We're building something special at the Innovation Design Consortium (IDC)-and we're looking for a Technical Product Manager, Digital Products to help us take it to the next level.

In this role, you'll serve as a critical bridge between our project teams, consultants, and business stakeholders-ensuring that our digital products meet the needs of member firms and align with the IDC's broader vision and strategic goals.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to shape not just products, but the future of innovation in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. You'll lead the development of high-impact tools and platforms at the intersection of product strategy, user-centered design, and emerging technology.

You won't just manage products-you'll help define what they can be. From initial concept to full release, you'll collaborate with firm leaders, consultants, and stakeholders to turn bold ideas into practical, scalable solutions. You'll oversee the full product lifecycle-from ideation through launch-working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, user-focused outcomes.

This is a fully remote role, ideal for a product leader who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and embraces a high degree of ownership and autonomy.

What you will do:

Product Strategy and Vision:

  • Collaborate with the project leaders to develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the company's objectives and market opportunities.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback to inform product direction.

Product Roadmap and Planning:

  • Create and maintain detailed product roadmaps that outline key milestones, deliverables, and timelines across the product portfolio.
  • Prioritize product features and enhancements based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and support teams to ensure successful product development and launch.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.

Technical Expertise:

  • Leverage your technical background to make informed decisions about product architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to define technical requirements, ensure feasibility, and resolve challenges during the development process.

Product Development and Execution:

  • Drive the end-to-end product development process, from concept to release, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Oversee the creation of detailed product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

Customer Focus:

  • Advocate for the customer by deeply understanding their needs, pain points, and behaviors.
  • Engage with customers and users to gather feedback, validate assumptions, and refine product features.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Utilize data analytics to monitor product performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions about product improvements.
  • Implement and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success.

Product Launch and Go-to-Market:

  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies and launch plans for new products and features.
  • Ensure that all teams are aligned and prepared for successful product launches.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive continuous improvement in product management processes and methodologies.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field; Advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Technical Product Manager or equivalent. Preferred 10+ years of experience in a technical, project or product management role.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Product Manager or similar role in a technology-driven company.
  • PMI-ACP and/or DASM certifications preferred.
  • Strong technical background with a deep understanding of software development processes, APIs, and cloud-based technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and industry-standard management tools required.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps Services and Microsoft Planner preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven mindset.
  • Ability to think strategically while managing the details of execution.
