Role: Mainframe online technical support lead (onsite)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Architect with 8 to 12 years of experience specializing in Mainframes Modernization and support.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a passion for driving innovation in a hybrid work model. Experience in the Merchandising domain is a plus.

Responsibilities
Lead and drive technical analysis / technical resolution / providing workaround solution for production issues
Ensure application is up and running 24 x 7 , meet SLA and KPI commitments for support engagement
Own and drive delivery of the team (along with offshore team)
Availability and flexibility to stretch for long hours if needed during urgent/critical issue resolution
Ensure that all Mainframe applications are optimized for performance and scalability.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
Mentor and guide junior team members in Mainframe technologies and best practices.
Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Mainframe modernization.

Qualifications
Strong hands-on competency in Mainframe, COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM 10+ years
Strong experience with production support engagement
Independent decision-making ability post analysis to handle job failures, data issues, alerts, restart batch job cycles, provide workaround solutions with data fix, adhoc job executions, adhoc data processing
knowledge of monitoring/logging tools
Must have strong experience in Mainframe Utilities and Mainframes Modernization.
Nice to have experience in the Merchandising domain.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
