Role Profile

Yield Book prides itself in setting a market standard for cash flow analytics and prepayment/default models for RMBS, CMBS, CLO, and other securitized products, that are the cornerstone of Fixed Income Analytics products and services provided by the firm.

This is an entry-level Research Analyst role with a 12-week fixed term contract, assisting in Analytic Research's CMBS/CLO research analytics and model development. The individual will assist senior modelers/researchers in data extraction, processing, maintenance, and data analysis for research modeling and research report publications. The role will also support clients on data related requests, and collaborate with Technology and Product Management on relevant product and analytics tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and understand Yield Book CMBS/CLO products, analytics, existing models, and Yield Book clients' requirement.
  • Support senior researchers in data preparation, analytics, and exhibit generation for research publications.
  • Support senior modelers on model development/maintenance including data extraction and processing, statistical analysis, and data maintenance.
  • Support Yield Book clients and prospective clients for analytics and data related requests and inquiries.
  • Work closely with other research team members, Technology, and Product Management for relevant analytics and product tasks.

Candidate Profile / Key Skills
  • Interest in financial fixed income products and analytics.
  • Working towards a bachelor's degree (currently in Junior year) in a quantitative field, finance or computer science is preferred.
  • Strong quantitative and data science skills, specifically in data analysis and data visualization.
  • Coding skills (e.g., in Python) are required.
  • Critical thinking and ability to learn new knowledge quickly and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Team player, be able to work in an empowered, autonomous and cross-functional team.

Compensation/Benefits Information:

LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $0 - $0. Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Variable Incentive Compensation plan. Target variable compensation will be commensurate with the posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience.
