Position Summary

The Business Manager - Post-Acute Care manages the post-acute care service line in collaboration with administrative and executive leadership. This includes strategic planning and program development, operations, marketing, and fiscal management of a broad range of services under the post-acute care program. This position requires integration of a diverse set of best practices, compliance with applicable state/federal regulatory policies, and communication with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and workgroups-MultiCare Medical Associates, finance, IS, legal, marketing, etc., and management of key external post-acute care relationships. Leading through influence, change management, project management of multi-departmental or system-wide solutions, and delegating are key management skills that are integral to the success of this position. Work situations are frequently non-routine requiring a broad vision of the future of post-acute care; sensitivity to the values and expectations of medical staff, management, employees, business partners, and patients, complex data analysis, and the use of discretion and good judgment in decision making. Hospital-based leaders may have a dual matrixed reporting structure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a clinically related discipline; Master's degree in a clinically related discipline preferred
  • Five (5) years of recent clinical experience in Post-Acute Care - i.e. inpatient rehab, skilled nursing facility, home health or outpatient rehab services
  • Three (3) years of experience in project management or equivalent
  • Three (3) years of experience in a supervisory or lead capacity
  • Knowledge of post-acute care, population health, home health, hospice, and palliative care
  • Consideration may be given to internal candidates not meeting the minimum qualifications

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $107,598.00 - $154,814.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
