Title: Nonprofit Product Manager

The successful candidate will be a passionate, self-motivated Product Manager with a strong interest in developing market-driven solutions in collaboration with nonprofit organizations.

Join our Nonprofit Industries team as a Product Manager and shape the future of technology for social good. You will define market requirements, lead a scrum team, craft user stories, and package features into impactful product releases. This role offers a unique opportunity to empower thousands of social impact organizations through the world's leading platform for impactful applications. Key responsibilities include developing market-driven requirements to solve customer problems, synchronizing customer needs with roadmap and delivery schedules, and representing the product to stakeholders. You will work closely with stakeholders to drive the product roadmap, draft feature sets and functional requirements, and communicate clearly with invested parties.

The ideal candidate will lead the development, execution, and strategy for scalable, end-to-end business solutions, including gathering requirements, user acceptance testing, internal engagement, and customer outreach. Our PMs work cross-functionally, developing market expertise, participating in customer calls, and collaborating on user story mapping with user experience and engineering teams. This role is a key part of a scrappy social impact innovation technology team.

Our Product Managers are well-versed in understanding customer needs, compassionate, curious, entrepreneurial, deeply analytical, and experts in creating a product narrative. They inspire engineers, designers, and sales teams, are detail-oriented yet versatile, good communicators, flexible, and believe that building a great product is a team sport.

Your Impact:

The Product Manager for Nonprofit Cloud will be responsible for ensuring the success and delivery of numerous feature areas, with a scope that may grow over time. Given that we are a high-growth company, we are seeking candidates who are inquisitive, at ease with ambiguity, and flexible. A typical week for a Product Manager may include some of the responsibilities listed below.

  • Work with the community, partners and stakeholders to gather user requirements

  • Facilitate the creation of feature designs

  • Work in tandem with a cross-functional team to create epics and user stories

  • Develop product feature roadmap

  • Lead the team through release planning to inform the roadmap and communicate results to stakeholders

  • Facilitate and manage the product lifecycle and continuously iterate to improve the product, including prioritization of enhancements, fixes and modifications

  • Manage and communicate trade-off decisions between scope and schedule

  • Act as the subject-matter expert for their assigned market

  • Synthesize diverse sets of data to educate the team and drive product decisions

  • Engage with customers and partners to understand their needs, articulate our goals and evaluate the impact of our product

  • Partner with marketing, alliances and customer success teams at all levels to assess, initiate, prioritize, refine, and drive go to market messages for products and solutions

  • Help bring diverse teams and priorities together to continually deliver for our customers

  • Above all else, doing the little things that get the team to their goals

Product Manager Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and create feature designs

  • Work with a cross-functional team to develop user stories and a product roadmap

  • Manage product lifecycle, including prioritization and trade-offs

  • Serve as subject-matter expert, using data to drive decisions

  • Partner with other teams on go-to-market strategy

  • Focus on achieving team goals

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in Product Management or related fields, with a proven track record of shipping scalable products

  • Demonstrated ability to work within an agile software development environment

  • Ability to translate customer needs into an actionable product vision and requirements

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex issues to diverse audiences

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Salesforce technologies

  • Experience working for or with nonprofit organizations and/or a deep understanding of their needs

  • Strong public speaker with experience delivering presentations and giving product demos

  • Bachelor's degree

Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance and the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring, Salesforce will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $157,600 to $216,700. For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $172,000 to $236,500. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
