Qualifications: 5+ years of Linux sysadmin experience in medium to large IT environments Strong fluency with Linux tools, debugging, and performance analysis Strong familiarity with Linux packaging tools and usage such as Yum, Apt, dpkg, Rpm Strong Python scripting (solid skills; other high-level languages considered commensurate with experience) Familiarity with SQL and Databases. SQL scripting (Postgres direct experience a plus) Hands-on experience with NFS and SMB protocol mounting and troubleshooting Familiarity with, and experience troubleshooting permissions issues such as LDAP, active directory, and PAM Strong debugging and system diagnostics for performance analysis and problem determination Experience working with Web services such as HTML, Nginx, CGI, and Apache Competent network and network troubleshooting skills Windows administration experience a plus Experience with data protection, migration, or archiving software (i.e., NetApp, Veritas, Rubrik, Cohesity, Komprise, Commvault) is a plus. Flexibility Excellent interpersonal skills Strong communication skills (both oral and written). Independent worker with a strategic mindset and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. University degree required; STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) background preferred. An advanced degree is a plus. Ability to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
