This position is responsible for supporting operations with value engineering of manufactured parts and assemblies.

Work You'll Do:

  • Work with Operations to improve the manufacturability and assembly of parts and equipment

  • Partner with purchasing on global procurement of machined parts. Define technical specifications and quality control requirements for global vendors

  • Work the Purchasing and vendors on sourcing and validation of parts by defining technical requirements and specifications

  • Assist R&D with new product development to ensure new parts can be manufactured efficiently.

  • Coordinate with other manufacturing locations to ensure consistency in product design and quality across multiple manufacturing locations

Team:

This role will be a part of Manufacturing Engineering team, reporting to the Equipment Design Manager

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma is required

  • Backelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree

  • Knowledge of mechanical design and manufacturing processes

  • Effective communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and software like QAD, SAP, Navision, and CRM

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years engineering design experience in a Manufacturing environment
