Description

We are seeking a top-notch software engineer to be part of a team committed to the continued development of a GUI driven, data, protocol, and transport translation application. You will be part of the team that is working with the military and other government contractors to incorporate new types of data into existing military warning systems and adapting the product to other markets. This team will develop software requirements, create suitable designs with possible rapid prototyping efforts, develop the software, perform unit testing on the software, and perform releases of the product.



  • Must have and maintain a Secret Level clearance.
  • Must have B.S. degree. STEM preferred.
  • Must possess a minimum of 3 years' experience working with constructive/virtual simulation environments.
  • Must possess a minimum of 3 years' experience working Army, Joint, or other Command and Control Systems
  • 2+ years' experience working with IP based networking
  • 5+ years' experience and a thorough understanding of C, C++, or C# development languages; C++ preferred.
  • 5+ years of object-oriented design and implementation experience
  • 5+ years' experience developing network or database interface applications
  • Experience using git and Gitlab
  • Able to work well within a software development team
  • Highly motivated to develop software from requirements gathering through design, coding, and testing.
  • Strong understanding of the software development process using object-oriented development practices.
  • Fundamental understanding of software, computer, and network architectures
  • Must have strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Skills in developing Perl or Python scripts. Embedding experience a plus.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and experience interfacing with databases.
  • Experience working within Microsoft Visual Studio development environments
  • Experience working with the MONO or .NET Framework runtime environments
  • Understanding of common industry and military network protocols
  • Experience working with Microsoft Visual Studio development environments
  • Developing on Linux a plus.
  • Experience working with Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) or High Level Architecture (HLA) simulation federations
  • A working knowledge of Army or other military training practices
  • Willing to occasionally travel OCONUS and CONUS
