Position Overview:DigiKey's Email Team helps elevate the visual storytelling that defines our customer experience. Email Designers need to be creative and detail-oriented to craft visually impactful email campaigns that resonate with our audience.

In this role, you'll shape the visual identity of DigiKey's email communications, driving branding and marketing initiatives. You'll be responsible for designing compelling emails that boost customer engagement and satisfaction. Your expertise in conceptual thinking, digital design, problem-solving, and branding will be crucial in strengthening customer relationships.

This is not exclusively an essential onsite role, though may require some onsite attendance. Responsibilities:
  • Creative email campaign design: Lead the creation of innovative email marketing campaigns that align with our marketing objectives. Transform fresh ideas into captivating visual stories that connect with our subscribers

  • Strategic problem-solving: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop creative solutions that address design challenges and enhance the customer experience

  • Digital design: Design and edit digital assets, including images, infographics, and illustrations, for visually compelling email content that captures our brand's essence and drives conversions

  • Email testing and optimization: Ensure email designs are optimized for all devices and email clients while adhering to industry best practices

  • Acquisition ads: Create visually striking acquisition ads that attract new customers and drive business growth

  • Branding: Manage and maintain DigiKey's design system to ensure consistency across all projects, and contribute to the development of brand guidelines to maintain a cohesive visual identity

  • Cross-team collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across departments to create unified user experiences, and partner with developers and the email production team for smooth campaign execution

  • Trend awareness: Stay current with industry trends and apply them to keep DigiKey's email designs fresh and cutting-edge

  • Present and refine designs: Lead creative presentations, gather feedback from stakeholders, and refine designs to deliver optimal results

  • Other duties as assigned including but not limited to possible reallocation of efforts to other organizations per business need and management request

  • Take on additional responsibilities from Email Marketing Managers or Email Marketing leadership

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Marketing, or a related field is preferred

  • Experience: 1-3 years in design, preferably within email marketing, digital marketing, or a creative agency

  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead design projects and collaborate with teams of designers and developers

  • Team player: Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to accept feedback and follow strategy, turning insights into impactful designs

  • Technical proficiency: Strong grasp of design principles with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma. Strong copywriting skills and the ability to manage tight deadlines

  • Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing your digital design work, particularly in email and marketing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional Qualifications: Hands-on experience with HTML/CSS, content management systems, email automation platforms, or animation is a plus, but not required

Physical Requirements:
  • Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen

  • Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body

Compensation:

The base pay range for this position is:

$26.90

to

$37.00

Many factors influence the determination of base pay within a range, including the candidate's work experience in related roles; the candidate's knowledge, skills, capabilities, and performance; the relative pay of other DigiKey employees in similar roles; and the budget available for the position.
