Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Supply Chain Buyer/Planner to manage procurement activities and support inventory and production needs. The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, issuing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery to maintain optimal inventory levels and support operational goals. Key Responsibilities: * Source, evaluate, and select suppliers to ensure high-quality, cost-effective materials * Issue purchase orders based on production schedules, inventory levels, and organizational requirements. * Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to maximize value and minimize risk. * Assist with cost analysis, budgeting, and cost-saving initiatives. * Monitor sales performance and adjust forecasts based on shifting trends. * Ensure optimal inventory levels by coordinating with suppliers and manufacturers. * Work closely with sales, finance, and operations to align planning strategies. * Manage relationships with big box retailers * Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to streamline product availability. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field. * Experience in demand planning, supply planning, forecasting, or inventory management. * Preferred experience in buying for wholesale customers * Proficiency in ERP systems, demand planning software, and Microsoft Excel. * Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data sets. * Experience working with cross-functional teams in sales, supply chain, and finance. * Knowledge of retail, wholesale, and e-commerce inventory strategies. * Strong problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills. | |
