Responsibilities
- The Obstetric (OB) Surgical Technologist provides patient care under the direct supervision of the Physician and the Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrate responsibility and accountability in selecting, assembling, testing, and operating equipment and instruments by policies and procedures.
- Perform as a primary scrub tech handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during surgical procedures and deliveries while applying principles of sterile technique.
- Performs sterile table and room turnover following the procedure.
- Perform additional patient care assigned by the RN.
- Contribute to expected patient outcomes by policies, procedures, established standards, and administrative policies.
- Respond to on-call obligations with a 30-minute response time.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology Training Program
- NBSTSA Certified Surgical Tech
- Basic Life Support certification
Preferred Job Requirements:
- One year Labor and Delivery Surgical Tech experience
