What this job involves: The main responsibility of this role is to ensure all safety-related vendors are fulfilling their contractual obligations and any regulatory requirements are met. The Contract Manager will also review programs, policies, plans, and specifications to ensure that client EHS compliance issues are effectively addressed. The contract manager will provide guidance to the local Site Leadership Team to ensure compliance with all client requirements. This is an active hands-on role that will require daily vendor interaction and oversight.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Maintains building fire alarm system components such as smoke detectors, pull stations, strobes, etc.
  • Maintains building fire sprinkler system components such as switches, valves & trim rings
  • Maintains all required EHS related documentation and record keeping.
  • Supervises and directs vendors who perform FLS repairs and maintenance
  • Coordinates with client Environmental, Health and Safety team to identify and resolve FLS system deficiencies
  • Work with and advise contractors in identification and implementation of
  • corrective actions for identified deficiencies or issues
  • Attend and participate in essential meetings not limited to All Hands, Stand
  • Downs, Orientations, Safety Committees, EHS Leads, Activity Briefings,
  • Obtains quotes for repairs from vendors and verifies completion of work.
  • Conducts meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure safety, compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments.
  • Participate in the internal annual JCAP audit program, ensuring minimum compliance targets are met.
  • Provides support and guidance to staff, partners and client ensuring awareness and conformance with policy, procedures, process, guidelines, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external team members to ensure all work is performed in accordance with approved permitting, internal policies and procedures, contract documents, and good engineering practices.
  • Reviews and approves JHAs/PTPs to maintain a consistent safe work environment. May support the development of JHAs as needed.
  • Participate (and present) at Client Safety forums
  • Initiates and completes work orders in a timely manner
  • Conduct assessments of existing EHS programs to ensure alignment with client requirements.
  • Ensure workforce EHS training aligns with client training requirements.
  • Ensure regulatory requirements are implemented
  • and followed onsite
  • Perform daily inspections of the projects including photographic records and written log of activities.
  • Drive implementation of EHS initiatives regarding high-risk activities such as Confined Space Entry, Electrical Safety, LO/TO and Elevated Work.
  • Provide construction and project EHS oversight
  • Work with operations and engineering teams to perform hazard (Risk) assessments and evaluations; implement risk reduction/mitigation strategies as appropriate.
  • Contact persons for all permits & contractor safety training
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience in occupational safety or safety management
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards & codes * Proven experience in managing regulatory compliance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Familiarity with high hazard prevention programs (LO/TO, electrical safety, confined space entry, fall protection)

Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field *
  • Experience working with subcontractors/vendors
  • Prior experience with CMMS systems
  • Working knowledge of skilled trades and building-related systems
  • Experience in construction or facilities management
  • Familiarity with fire protection systems and regulations
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices

Estimated total compensation for this position:

95,000.00 - 110,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
