In the role of Network Engineering Team Lead, we'll count on you to:

  • Technical Leadership:



    1. Design, implement, and optimize network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and other network solutions.




    1. Provide technical guidance and support to team members on network troubleshooting, problem resolution, and new technology implementation.




    1. Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and security threats.



  • Team Management:



    1. Lead and mentor a team of network engineers, providing guidance and support for career development.




    1. Assign tasks, track progress, and ensure that team members meet deadlines and performance expectations.




    1. Facilitate team meetings, communication, and collaboration.



  • Project Management:



    1. Manage network projects from planning to implementation, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.




    1. Coordinate with other IT teams and stakeholders to align project goals and expectations.



  • Incident Management:



    1. Lead incident investigations, diagnosis, and service restoration.




    1. Manage escalation procedures and ensure timely resolution of critical incidents.




    1. Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors to resolve complex issues.



  • Infrastructure Management:



    1. Maintain and operate network solutions (routers, firewalls, switches, etc.) across the enterprise.




    1. Manage vendor relationships and contracts, ensuring adherence to service level agreements.




    1. Plan for network capacity needs and ensure the network can scale to meet business requirements.



  • Documentation and Communication:



    1. Document network configurations, procedures, and best practices.




    1. Communicate technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.



Skills and Qualifications:



  • Technical Skills:



    1. Deep understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies.




    1. Experience with network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.) from multiple vendors.




    1. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.




    1. Experience with network security tools and technologies.



  • Leadership Skills:



    1. Ability to lead and motivate a team.




    1. Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.




    1. Excellent organizational and time management skills.




    1. Ability to delegate tasks and provide constructive feedback.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience
  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in technical analysis of systems
  • In-depth technical knowledge of network hardware, systems and architectures, and storage and backup system infrastructure technologies
  • Expertise in technologies particularly in mid to large enterprise environments
  • Experience in design, solutions development, and consultative roles is important
  • Experience leading others in critical situations, and in teaching and coaching others
  • Technical proficiency with administering and supporting systems management tools and methodologies
  • Ability to develop innovative ideas for generating new approaches to solve problems
  • Ability to gather technical requirements and translate into applicable solutions
  • Excellent client service and interpersonal skills
