Job Description:

The DOA Supplier Control Manager is responsible for successful deployment of Quality Systems for continuous improvement of products, processes, and design engineering standards.

Your working environment:

The Engineering Center in Mobile, Alabama houses hundreds of Airbus engineers who assist in the design and development of Airbus commercial aircraft cabins, including aftermarket upgrades, reconfigurations and services of all product types across the globe.

Your challenges:

• Assess Suppliers capabilities to provide the engineering Deliverables on Time - on Quality, for new and legacy aircraft development within Extended Enterprise context.

• Assess the Suppliers as required supporting the deployment of the Airbus delegations policies in accordance with (A1020 & M1020).

• Continuously monitor the individual's Supplier portfolio, identify the risks and define the appropriate Quality activities to be launched in coordination with Business needs and DOA requirements.

• Maintain the qualification of the "Suppliers" as required by the Airbus DOA for series aircraft within a 3 year surveillance plan.

• Assess, utilizing the TDCA (Technical Development Capability Assessment) to provide the engineering Deliverables on Time, on Quality and meeting Airbus DOA requirements for aircraft development and modification within Extended Enterprise context.

• Record results of above audits and assessments in the applicable IT tool (C-SAAM, ARP, ...etc)

• Evaluate the content of TDCA Reports and Action Plans between Suppliers and Airbus programs.

• Propose any improvement within Supplier Control process, methods & tools and contribute actively to initiatives and projects launched within AAE Quality and DOA (LEAN techniques, EASA audits, etc.).

Your boarding pass:

• B.S. degree in engineering.(Mechanical /Aeronautic/Civil /Electrical Engineering)

• 13 years experience within the aviation industry, specifically in aircraft engineering and knowledge of associated design, certification and qualification requirements.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

• Ability to understand and mentor principles within assigned discipline.

• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical aircraft topics.

• Excellent communication, coordination, and organization skills.

• Ability to inter-relate with and motivate diverse teams.

• Authorized to work in the US.

Preferred experience in:

• Airbus aircraft general knowledge.

• AS/EN9100 Certified Lead Auditor.

Physical Requirements:

• Onsite or remote: Onsite 100%

• Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.

• Hearing: able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms.

• Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.

• Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.

• Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.

• Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.

• Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.

• Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer.

• Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.

• Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor.

• Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice.

• Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.

• Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site
