Senior Industrial Wastewater Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Industrial Wastewater Engineer to join our team, focusing on water and wastewater treatment projects. This role involves leading the design and execution of complex treatment systems, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating with clients to deliver high-quality solutions. You should be hybrid in a Mid-West SCS office or remote in the Mid-West.

Lead SCS's design teams in the production of design documents for wastewater treatment systems, including but not limited to MBRs, RO, anaerobic digesters, biological nutrient removal, brine management, and RNG systems.
• Manage projects and personnel as necessary to meet both client and SCS expectation.
• Make decisions independently on engineering or scientific problems and methods, plan and coordinate work, and represent the company at meetings and conferences.
• Perform and review process modeling, equipment sizing, and cost estimation.
• Develop technical reports and deliverables for clients and regulatory agencies.
• Coordinate multi-discipline teams and oversee drawing packages, P&IDs, and specifications.
• Support construction and start-up/commissioning efforts,
• Provide technical mentorship and training to junior staff.
• Travel up to 15% of the time for site visits, evaluations, and client meetings.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemcial, Environmental, or Civil Engineering required. Master's preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional engineering experience in the water or wastewater industry required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required (Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental).
• Strong practical knowledge of the multidisciplinary design processes.
• Proven ability to make timely and informed decisions, incorporating input from various stakeholders.
• Valid driver's license with a driving record in good standing required.
