Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work Onsite with our client in Indianapolis, IN. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • The Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating equipment used in the manufacturing of products.
  • The operator will work with other employees to effectively meet or exceed expectations for product quality and production rates.
  • Adheres to company safety policies and programs such as Personal Protective
  • Equipment, Incident/Injury Reporting, Hazard Communication and Labeling.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints.
  • Able to locate jobs and set up programs in Laser console.
  • Ensures that goals and expectations are met and product is being developed on schedule.
  • Locate and acquire needed materials for jobs.
  • Ensures equipment is in optimum working order and brings issues to team leaders' attention
  • Verify the VLF program matches the print.
  • Set up the VLF program and edit the WST program to match XYZ coordinates on sequential parts.
  • Maintains confidentiality of customer information 100% of the time.
  • Performs basic troubleshooting, machine errors, and spot checks of products to ensure adherence to approved quality.
  • Maintains documentation and paperwork to include accurate counts of parts.
  • Notifies supervisor of product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions immediately.
  • Pulls jobs from the FIFO system efficiently.
  • May help train new employees as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Pay rate: $19.00/Hour
  • Hours: 40 hours/week 2nd shift (shift: 3:30pm-12am, M-F)
  • Length: Temp (12 Months)

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of Etch experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Etch, Calipers, and tooling.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Be able to fill out all needed paperwork (1st pc Article, WIP, 100% Ready for ISN, and router)
  • Ability to manually move line breaks on segmented parts to prevent separation of letters/numbers.
  • Able to Convey to and from standard measurements to metric measurements.
  • Read prints and match print to the router and pink ticket.
  • Able to pull programs from Z-Drive and copy them to C-Drive.
  • Ability to use callipers and other measuring tools.
  • Keeps a neat and organised workstation for safety and efficiency 100% of the time
  • Forms strong working relationships within the team and treats each other with respect.
  • Corresponds and collaborates with team members
  • Detail-oriented with an ability to solve problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints to determine set-up and operations

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and sometimes perform team lifts of up to 75 pounds.

  • Minimal lifting (75 lbs.), bending, pushing/pulling, crawling, climbing, balancing, and prolonged standing.
  • Manual dexterity is sufficient to reach and handle items.
  • Ability to identify and distinguish colours, judge distance and space relationships (i.e. visualise objects of multiple dimensions), and adjust the lens of the eye to bring an object into sharp focus (microscope, etc.).
