Team Lead Dipping - 2nd Shift

The Team Lead Dipping - 2nd Shift ensures
efficient running of dipping department by leading employees and managing
equipment

Our Dipping department in Belleville, IL is now looking for a Team Lead Dipping - 2nd Shift.

Key Tasks

Accomplishes dipping staff job results by:
Communicating job
expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, and
disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems,
policies and procedures; assigning
personnel to specific duties to cover for absent employees, rotating
responsibilities, or assigning tasks for the dipping line; deciding on use of
casual overtime.

Maintains efficient work flow by:
Monitoring steps of the dipping process; setting
processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring
personnel and resources; studying methods; developing reporting procedures and
systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control
points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between
departments.

Completes production plan by:
Scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work
results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules;
resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow; ensuring the shift meets
production goals; entering information on required reports.

Maintains safe and healthy work environment by:
Following organization standards, legal regulations
and enforcement of safe work practices in accordance to company safety
policies.

Maintains quality service by:
Keeping error rates minimal
and within acceptable ranges; implementing cost reductions; enforcing
organizational standards and evaluating/analyzing quality reports; relaying the
information to the appropriate resource; maintaining an efficient work pace;
meeting and exceeding all performance measurements: quantity, accuracy,
timeliness, and thoroughness of work performed.

Provides communication support by:
Communicating across departments to all
levels of management and staff relative information pertaining to department
resources and product quality.

Resolves personnel problems by:
Investigating issues; identifying solutions;
recommending/taking actions.

Ensures operation of equipment by:
Troubleshooting computer
problems; opening facility and disarming alarm system; shutting down facility
and resetting alarm system; operating drying oven computer; resetting oven
times; completing preventative maintenance requirements;
following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling
for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and
techniques; maintaining routine
checks of equipment to prevent product loss.

Your Background

  • High School diploma or GED required
    plus one year related experience required; supervisory or leadership experience
    strongly preferred.
  • Must be skill checked on
    all positions within the assigned department
  • Ability
    to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance
    instructions, and procedure manuals.
    Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of
    customers or employees of the organization.
  • Basic
    personal computer skills including electronic mail, routine database activity,
    word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
  • Prioritize,
    organize, and delegate assignments
