Posting Summary |
The Division of Urology at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is seeking to expand its pediatric urology services compliment with a fellowship trained pediatric urologist.
Perform and/or assist in Pediatric Urology cases as required by departmental needs. Be accountable for overall care of patients who are admitted under divisional coverage of physician's name.
Provide complete and timely consults as requested by other specialists or response to trauma activation.
Provider clear instructions, explanations and options available regarding diagnosis, treatment, medications, and follow up to patients, family members and other healthcare team members.
Establish and maintain physician office hours in order to be accessible to new consults and follow up patients, adjusting as needed at designated outpatient offices.
Work with the operating room leadership to ensure the proper equipment and supplies are available.
Provide on call and rotational coverage as is necessary to cover clinical needs. Participate in pediatric urology coverage.
Assist in the development of protocols, guidelines, and critical care pathways to establish and maintain a standard level of care for pediatric urology cases.
Advise and collaborate in the development of new pediatric urology clinics with
RWJMS as appropriate and or as instructed by Division Chief or Department Chair. Safeguard patient confidentiality at all times. Limit work/patient related discussions to private areas.
Complete required medical documentation included in patient's charts in accordance with the Medical Staff By-laws.
Provide accurate, timely and complete information required for billing.
Effectively communicate with patients, family members, and other healthcare team members.
Demonstrate strong organizational skills; effectively delegate and prioritize work assignments; serve as a role model and team player. |
