We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Manager to join our dynamic team in the Beverages industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing multiple locations and driving operational excellence in a fast-paced environment. As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance of several outlets, ensuring that they meet or exceed financial and operational targets.

You will execute strategic initiatives that promote sales, improve brand standards, and enhance customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong leader who possesses exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to inspire and motivate team members. Additionally, you will be tasked with identifying growth opportunities and implementing effective marketing strategies to enhance our market presence. Your analytical mindset will aid in monitoring performance metrics and making data-driven decisions to achieve overall objectives.

Primary Location:

Albuquerque, New Mexico

Position requires knowledge of sales/marketing concepts used in the brewing industry. Individual must have good verbal/written skills. Familiarity with delivery & sales responsibilities and territories are a must. Candidate should exhibit leadership and strong work ethic skills.

Requirements:

  • Proven knowledge of sales and marketing concepts, particularly within the beverage industry.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience with delivery and sales responsibilities, including familiarity with territories.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and a strong work ethic.

  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel through the assigned territory to build and maintain relationships with both regular and prospective customers.

  • Lead negotiations, close sales, and develop marketing plans for accounts.

  • Stay informed on new products, services, and market trends of interest to customers.

  • Ensure proper rotation of products (first-in, first-out) according to supplier requirements.

  • Manage cash/credit proceeds, inventory products, and company assets, ensuring proper documentation and accountability.

  • Solicit new business by conducting reviews, demonstrating products, and highlighting features and benefits to customers.

  • Safely operate route vehicles, ensuring vehicle maintenance and cleanliness.

  • Prepare reports on business transactions and maintain accurate expense accounts.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or other relevant personnel.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of 4 to 8 employees in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

  • Oversee all aspects of team management, including hiring, training, assigning work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and addressing complaints.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED. 2+ years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Communication Skills: Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively, including in one-on-one or small group situations with customers, clients, and other employees.

  • Mathematical Skills: Able to perform basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) and compute rate, ratio, and percentages.

  • Reasoning skills: Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to address issues involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Work Environment:

  • Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions.

  • Moderate noise level.
