Responsibilities
MTSI is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Systems Engineer/Cross-Domain Solutions (CDS) Expert who will posses extensive knowledge, proven abilities, and demonstrated expertise in Risk Management Framework, cross-domain solutions, diverse information system technologies, network technologies, and DoD cybersecurity policies. This role requires meticulous abilities in the conduct of system security assessments, review vulnerability scan results, including application of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and management of Body of Evidence (BoE) artifacts. Travel may be required to support business needs. Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
- Execute and manage tasks related to the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to ensure compliance and system security integrity.
- Assess Cross-Domain Solutions (CDS) within organizational cybersecurity architectures.
- Conduct thorough system security assessments and vulnerability assessments to identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Assess STIGs results for secure configurations and maintain adherence to DoD cybersecurity policies and instructions.
- Manage and maintain Body of Evidence (BoE) artifacts throughout the system lifecycle, including review and validation of related documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and support for audits, inspections, and compliance assessments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure mission-critical systems meet security requirements.
- Prepare technical Security Assessment reports, briefings, and recommendations for senior management.
Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years' of relevant cybersecurity experience, particularly within DoD environments.
- In-depth understanding and application of RMF and CDS principles.
- Familiarity with DoD Instructions, policies, and guidelines.
- Expertise in performing system security and vulnerability assessments.
- Proficiency in applying STIGs to ensure secure system configurations.
- Strong analytical and technical writing skills for reviewing, managing, and maintaining BoE artifacts.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize competing tasks.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in high-pressure environments.
- Willingness to travel based on project needs.
Desired:
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent preferred.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
