SUMMARY:

The Vice President of Finance provides executive management support relative to: strategic planning and budgeting including capital planning and use of restricted funds; existing and potential programmatic analyses; productivity and labor analyses; forecasting and ratio analysis; cash forecasting and treasury oversight and other special projects. Ensures integrity of financial analyses and assumes responsibility for appropriate internal controls impacting costing of services and relative to budgeting and capital budgeting throughout the health system. As a member of the management staff of Grady Health System, contributes to organizational improvement and efficiency, to the development of Health System policies and procedures and to the implementation and monitoring of those procedures based on the mission and goals of the Health System. Under the direction of the Executive Vice President/CFO, is responsible for the effective operation of the following departments: Budget (includes operating budget, capital budget and tracking, restricted fund tracking and productivity and statistical tracking), Accounts Payable, and Treasury and Cash Management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or related field.
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • Ten (10) or more years healthcare related management experience at the level of Controller/Director or above or equivalent education and experience.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and managerial skills needed; strong written & oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to develop/present financial presentations at the appropriate level for Board, Medical Staff, Executive/Department Management.
