Responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive technology solutions and architectures that align with business objectives. Scout and integrate innovative technologies, ensure robust infrastructure and cybersecurity measures, and lead enterprise architecture (EA) activities.

This is a hybrid position which will require the candidate to report and work from the office three days a week. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Temple, TX.

Essential Job Functions/Principal Accountabilities:



  • Collaborate with EA peers (e.g., enterprise, business, information, solutions, security architects) to analyze enterprise business context and change requirements to derive the future-state technology architecture. This includes defining the requirements, principles, and models that guide technology decisions for the enterprise.
  • Establish and lead technology strategy and roadmaps, maintaining enterprise-level architecture through planning, design, and execution of new platform buildouts.
  • Analyze the current technology environment to identify deficiencies and recommend improvements.
  • Lead analysis of industry trends to assess their impact on enterprise technology.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and lead analysis of industry trends to assess their impact on enterprise technology.
  • Coach and mentor technical experts to develop enabling technology architecture.
  • Define migration plans to bridge gaps between current and future states.
  • Share best practices and lessons learned, updating technical system architecture requirements based on changing technologies.
  • Lead creation of technical reference architectures, patterns, and blueprints.
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute enterprise cloud strategy to support business objectives.
  • Design and mentor cloud and infrastructure architects to implement cloud architectures and solutions that are secure, scalable, and cost-effective.
  • Conduct technical assessment workshops to define future cloud architecture and plan migration roadmaps.
  • Guide non-functional capabilities such as Business Continuity, Cybersecurity & Compliance, Networking, Technical Operations, and service consumption.
  • Lead, develop, and socialize solutions for cloud migration, application migration, and cloud data security.
  • Review existing architectures to identify deficiencies, design gaps, and opportunities, creating actionable recommendations for cloud migration and enhancements.
  • Communicate advanced technical and non-technical concepts effectively to customers, peers, and management.
  • Balance long-term strategic vision with short-term decision implications.


Minimum Skills & Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
  • Ten or more years of broad technology experience.
  • Five or more years of experience in cloud computing and technical strategy.
  • Five or more years of experience in multi-cloud and on-premises infrastructure design.
  • Proven experience in technology scouting and innovation.
  • Experience leading and collaborating with business and IT cross-functional teams in complex transformation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure multi-cloud/hybrid environments (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and migrating on-premises applications to these platforms.
  • Knowledge of other cloud providers (AWS, GCP, OCI) is a bonus.
  • Experience with cloud architecture and design.
  • Strong working knowledge of infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity concepts in hybrid environments.
  • Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms' role in enabling agile digital supply chain operations is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
