Card Risk Associate

This is a remote role that may be hired in Arizona or Utah.

We are seeking a Card Risk Associate to join our Card Products team.

As a Card Risk Associate, you will apply your strategic and analytical skills to identify fraud trends related to enterprise card products. The ideal candidate will have experience utilizing fraud detection tools and systems, with an understanding of card systems including networks, processors, etc. This associate will play a pivotal role in fraud prevention efforts

*This position may be filled as a Card Risk Associate I,II or III, based on the skills and experience of the selected candidate.

Key responsibilities include:

• Analyze data and identify fraud trends and client friction and take appropriate action using business judgement
• Create/update/review reports designed to assist in identification of trends
• Support team in process improvements and new processes,
• Cross train with team to understand all aspects of position and backfill when other team members are off
• Update and maintain procedures

The ideal candidate will bring the following experience and acumen:

• Experience with fraud tools and systems, and the regulatory/compliance environment
• Understanding of card systems, including networks, processors, etc. including consumer, small business, and corporate accounts, both debit and credit
• Strong data analysis skills
• Demonstrated communication ability: up, down and across the organization
• Ability to understand impact of decisions on complex, changing environments
• Ability to see patterns in data and appropriately act and/or make recommendations on those patterns
• Ability to be agile and prioritize work based on varying needs and expectations

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 1 year experience in data analytics or High School Diploma and 5 years' experience in data analytics.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred, but significant knowledge/experience from prior roles will also be considered.
• 1 or more years of applicable experience in banking - specifically card and/or fraud. including roles focused on data querying and analytics.
