JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Our Current Opportunity in Intercollegiate Athletics

The Nittany Lion Club, which is the alumni and development office for Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, is searching for an efficient, innovative, and motivated colleague to join our Stewardship and Events team as a Stewardship Coordinator. This individual will coordinate stewardship efforts to support the philanthropic goals of Intercollegiate Athletics. The stewardship coordinator reports to the Director of Stewardship and Events and works closely with campus colleagues and leadership, as well as other partners. The Stewardship Coordinator will:

  • Provide assistance in developing, implementing and coordinating new stewardship initiatives of the Nittany Lion Club to create meaningful donor experiences
  • Coordinate endowment management efforts, manage stewardship contacts and track activity in eSteward, the University's stewardship system
  • Serve as a stewardship liaison to internal and external constituents
  • Manage the gift acknowledgement process which includes composing the letters
  • Maintain and report program fund balances and the collect necessary spending plans
  • Assist the with the scholarship awarding process including the coordination of student thank you letters and donor related mailings
  • Assist with facility donor stewardship and recognition
  • Provide staffing assistance at events
  • Provide support to the Stewardship and Events team

Education and Experience

This position typically requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must possess effective communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines. This successful candidate should have the ability to work well both independently and as part of the team and show excellent judgement. Preferred qualifications include working knowledge of Penn State Development software systems: eSteward, AWA/Ellucian Advance, and must be proficient in MS Office Suite. This position may be required to periodically work evenings or weekends.

This position will require successful completion of standard background checks.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$46,400.00 - $67,300.00
