NYL REI is a leading capital provider in the real estate industry and is recognized as a top-tier commercial mortgage lender staffed by a team of highly experienced real estate professionals. The primary focus of the Loan Management team is to manage commercial real estate debt products, including core, bridge and construction loans secured by industrial, multi-family, retail, office, and hotel properties across the continental United States and Mexico.

POSITION

The Senior Associate-Asset Manager will be responsible for the active, front-line management of a portfolio of commercial mortgage loans. The candidate will be involved in all aspects of loan management from funding to disposition including:

• developing positive borrower relationships,
• analyzing financial statements and rent rolls,
• processing construction/bridge loan draws and rebalancing requirements,
• interpreting loan documents to complete borrower requests including lease approvals, reserve disbursements, ownership transfers, insurance losses, easements, guaranty releases or substitutions of collateral,
• managing asset dispositions and specially serviced loans, and
• accurately completing all reporting requirements

REQUIREDSKILLS

• Three (3) years of relevant work experience with advanced knowledge of commercial real estate lending and complex debt positions including revolvers, senior, mezzanine and securitized debt
• Advanced knowledge of loan documentation and construction loan budget monitoring experience,
• Experience with Argus or Excel-based financial modeling,
• Critical thinker with excellent organizational skills who can multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

A four-year bachelor's degree is required preferably in real estate, finance, economics, accounting or another business degree with an investment focus.

Pay Transparency

Salary Range:$85,000-$105,000

Overtime eligible:Exempt

Discretionary bonus eligible:Yes

Sales bonus eligible:No

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
