Director, Employee Communications
needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh Scientific's client located in San Diego, CA.

This position will be for a major biotech company and
is suitable for someone with 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

Shifts available:
Monday - Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.

Key Responsibilities


  • The Director of Enterprise and Internal Communications Strategies is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive global internal communications strategy that supports the organization's overall business objectives and drives targeted outcomes.
  • You will collaborate with internal and external partners to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate strategic communications, employee engagements, thought leadership opportunities and create strategies that support enterprise activations on behalf of Illumina. You will develop a deep understanding of the organization and leverage your understanding of industry trends to shape stories that convey the company's priorities, values, and strategy.
  • In this role will lead a team of communications professionals and manage a variety of internal and external communication channels to effectively engage employees and key stakeholders. You should have outstanding leadership, organizational and project management skills with superior written and verbal communication.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful communications strategies.
  • Strong team management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with a variety of internal and external communication channels.
  • Knowledge of crisis communications and change management best practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a multinational organization.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and social media best practices.
  • Experience with crisis communications and change management.
