Job Summary:

The Calibration Technician provides support to Operations Team to include general tasks associated with the management of equipment including, but not limited to calibration equipment and Government Furnished Equipment. This role also ensures the accuracy and reliability of measurement and inspection instruments and records used within the organization and is responsible for managing and executing all tasks related to the coordination of internal and external calibration and calibration records, management of equipment maintenance schedules and records, and inventories/audits/records for Government Furnished Equipment.

Job Duties:

  • Maintaining equipment database and records
  • Create and issue monthly calibration recall lists
  • Coordinate external calibrations
  • Timely processing of calibration purchase orders
  • Timely processing of all equipment both incoming and outgoing
  • Manage incoming and outgoing equipment/calibrations, both physical inventories, shipments, and records
  • Apply calibration labels, issue In-Service Slips, complete Calibration Review Checklists
  • Updating calibration records, physical and electronic copies
  • Create and issue Out of Tolerance Reports as required. Maintain Out of Tolerance Log
  • Audit and maintain inventory records of all GFE in custody of site
  • Create and maintain equipment usage file if not creating equipment lists in vLab
  • Partner with Calibration Team as assigned
  • Create equipment holding cells in test areas for calibration recall processing
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required
  • General Supervision, can perform some recurring work independently
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar environment
  • Able to complete moderately difficult to complex administrative tasks
  • Intermediate understanding of office/clerical processes and procedures
  • Proficient MS Office skills; basic project management skills
