Position Title: SYNC Validation Technician

Locations: Allen Park, MI.
Position Description:
The SYNC Validation Technician will be responsible for supporting SYNC dealership service using the PTS/IDS programming interface. This person will liaison with product development, IVS/GIVIS personnel and other SYNC service team members to support the in-dealership service process to help ensure a robust user friendly experience.


Skills Required:

  • Test/validate/approve all SYNC software released by PD in both QA and Prod environments as required.
  • Attend all necessary SYNC meetings (eg, SYNC Project Status, SEO SYNC team, adhoc, etc).
  • Interface with OEM Service team (hotline, recall, etc) to gather new requirements (eg, TSBs, service procecdure changes, etc)
  • Provide global support for troubleshooting and resolution of field service issues.

Experience Required:

  • Strong Knowledge of SYNC architecture and CAN protocol diagnostic messaging.
  • Strong knowledge of IDS programming and module configuration.
  • Strong knowledge of IVS data structures and releasing process.
  • Strong knowledge of XML.
  • General knowledge of Part I and Part II specifications.
  • General knowledge of As-built database and data content.
  • General knowledge of GIVIS web services.
  • General knowledge and/or experience with software development/debugging (e.g., ASP.NET, Javascript).
