At BlueHalo, our system administrators are more than just button-pushers-we're the gatekeepers of operational excellence in secure environments. As a System Administrator, you'll be part of a team that manages mission-critical infrastructure for Identity and Access Management (IdAM) systems supporting national security efforts.

If you're comfortable with both Linux and Windows environments, enjoy scripting and patching, and take pride in keeping systems locked down and mission-ready-this role is built for you.

You like to do this:




  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot both Linux and Windows systems



  • Maintain virtual environments and perform OS/software patching (IAVA compliance)



  • Support secure system configurations and maintain audit-ready documentation



  • Assist in system testing, backup strategies, and service migrations



  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to support ongoing accreditation efforts




You are required to have this:




  • Bachelor's degree + 3 years of experience OR 7 years of experience in lieu of a degree



  • Experience managing RHEL, Windows Server 2016/2019, and virtualized environments



  • Familiarity with patching tools, IAVA remediation, and secure scripting (bash/perl)



  • Experience with LDAP, Active Directory, or IdAM solutions



  • TS/SCI with Polygraph




Bonus if you bring:




  • Previous experience working in an IdAM or ICAM environment



  • Strong technical documentation habits and Jira/Confluence familiarity



  • Comfort working in both Dev and Production environments across classified systems





Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000

The BlueHalo pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several factors including, but not limited to, level of position, job responsibilities, geographic location, scope of relevant work experience, educational background, certifications, contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, alignment with local internal equity as well as alignment with market data.
