At BlueHalo, our mission doesn't stop at functional-it demands intuitive. We're looking for a Systems Engineer who thrives at the intersection of human-centered design and mission-critical technology.

This is your chance to shape how analysts interact with powerful data platforms by transforming complex workflows into clean, functional, and effective interfaces. You won't be tweaking pixel spacing-you'll be impacting national security by improving the tools behind it.

You like to do this:




  • Lead user research, task analysis, and usability studies to identify friction points



  • Translate user needs into wireframes, workflows, and high-fidelity prototypes



  • Collaborate with developers and analysts to improve interaction patterns



  • Advocate for intuitive UI/UX throughout the software development lifecycle



  • Conduct feedback sessions and iteratively refine designs based on user input




You are required to have this:




  • Bachelor's degree in Human Factors, Psychology, HCI, or related field + 10 years of experience (Master's preferred)



  • 5+ years of experience conducting usability testing and UX design



  • Experience with tools like Axure, Adobe Creative Cloud, or equivalent



  • Strong communication skills for working across teams and capturing end-user intent



  • TS/SCI with Polygraph




Bonus if you bring:




  • Experience designing UX for analytic or data-driven platforms



  • Familiarity with prototyping under fast-paced Agile cycles



  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and how they apply in secure environments





Salary Range: $110,000 - $145,000

The BlueHalo pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several factors including, but not limited to, level of position, job responsibilities, geographic location, scope of relevant work experience, educational background, certifications, contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, alignment with local internal equity as well as alignment with market data.
