The Role

Our CMT Consulting group is looking for Field Services and Operations - Telecommunication to join our journey. We're looking for someone who is a Solution and Functional Consultant in Field Services and Management. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for building solutions, transformation, future-state architecture and implementation roadmap.

We are looking for a highly experienced Solution & Functional Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining the functional scope, goals, and deliverables that align with our business objectives, in close collaboration with senior leadership and internal stakeholders. Be an integral part of our core Field Solutions practice, providing best-in-class solutions and benchmarking against industry standards.

As a Senior Consulting Manager you will deliver within Cognizant's Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. This means partnering with clients and project stakeholders, colleagues to clarify requirements and support delivery of effective solutions; applying technical and domain expertise to solve core client business challenges or inefficiencies; developing and strengthening Field Services & Management and Operations especially in Telecommunication segment; supporting business development activities of senior leaders; contributing to the development of practice initiatives or new service offerings (e.g., Strategic Control Points, development of consulting assets); and being an inspiring colleague, promoting team motivation, partnership, and ownership for projects. Responsibilities

  • Based on experience, support or own and manage one or more project workstream(s), including deliverables, while adhering to budget, timelines, and client engagement guidelines;
  • Partner with clients and project stakeholders and apply technical and domain expertise to solve core client business challenges or inefficiencies; this may include leading and managing small solutioning
  • teams to accomplish the above
  • Drive expansion of Workforce Management and Quota Management to from a Field Technician and Operations perspective primarily focusing with telecommunication and cable industry
  • Conduct business process assessments and provide a thorough gap analysis, pointing improvement areas and best case solutions.
  • Evaluate current tools and assess alternatives such as ServiceNow, Salesforce and CSG
  • Lead cross-functional sessions with stakeholders (Ops, IT, Engineering)
  • Define future-state architecture and implementation roadmap. Support proof-of-concept and implementation phases.
  • Elevate the Cognizant brand from mere solution vendor to business-focused transformation partner, based on earning the trust and confidence of clients;
  • Ensure accurate understanding of a client's business challenges and their optimum alignment to engagements delivering Cognizant solutions;
  • Capitalize on successful project outcomes in pursuit of further client business partnering and involvement with the client's development of strategic digital transformation roadmaps;
  • Collaborate with and influence Cognizant project resources (e.g., service lines, SBUs, on/offshore delivery teams) and Partners on behalf of project goals, often-changing client needs, and ultimately client delight;
  • Leverage specific engagement solutions as marketable Cognizant solution offerings;
  • Develop practice capabilities and brand recognition by exercising thought leadership, establishing a consultative presence within Cognizant and the wider consulting community, and participating in professional organizations;
  • Participate in PeopleCare activities; Mentor and support less experienced Consultants for the benefit of the practice.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years working in technology, consulting, professional services, or solution development within the Field Services, operations and Workforce Management.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant business or technical discipline;
  • Broad understanding of core business processes, technology challenges, and technical/business solutions associated with an industry
  • Certifications in eTOM and FSM or ServiceNow or any space in Workforce Management, SCM will be a value-addition
  • Experience within a consultancy, within a targeted industry domain, or within a digital solution environment core to one or more of Cognizant's businesses
  • Experience with program quality frameworks, methods, and tools (e.g., SCM, WFM)

  • Must have over 10+ years of experience in Workforce Management/Field Services & Management
  • Must have proven skills in Forecasting and Capacity Planning in Telecommunication industry. Ability to analyze complex systems and design efficient solutions
  • Conduct business process assessments and fit-gap analyses.
  • Must have hands-on experience in FSM tools such as ServiceNow, ClickSoftware. Should have independently configured and assessed the results
  • Must have led cross-functional teams and stakeholders representing Ops, IT, Engineering and Business.
  • As a solution architects should have the ability to present future-state architecture and implementation roadmap. Support proof-of-concept and implementation phases.
  • Must have WFM experience in Telecommunication, Cable and Utilities industry.
  • Must have led, large transformation program in WFM space. Able to compare and provide strategic approach against "AS IS" and "TO BE" state.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively collaborate with teams and stakeholders
  • Travel Required: Yes, 5%-10%
