Specialist Payroll Position Summary: The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payroll along with supporting the Payroll Management team in ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. Essential Responsibilities
- Processing end-to-end payroll for hourly and/or salaried crewmembers payroll, reviewing for accuracy, facilitating appropriate corrections, and validating payroll for finalization and payment, including reconciliation of payroll results using SAP
- Perform day-to-day BAU activities including answering the hotline and responding to payroll tickets
- Pull electronic time clock data using electronic time software and review the downloaded information for accuracy; collaborate with Supervisors to reconcile and help resolve any discrepancies
- Research payroll discrepancies and provide timely resolution to make necessary adjustments
- Provide excellent customer service to crewmembers payroll inquiries and issues, demonstrating a commitment to resolving problems efficiently and effectively
- Administer processes that are compliant with JetBlue policies, collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), regulations and legislation
- Prepare payroll reports and assist other departments with payroll-related questions
- Process special payroll off-cycle items including termination payments and bonuses
- Able to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Assist with year-end payroll activities
- All other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- Associate's degree; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least two (2) years of previous related work experience
- One (1) year of payroll processing experience
- Excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills
- Ability to multitask
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail
- Available for overnight travel (10%)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Three (3) years of ADP or SAP Payroll experience (in-house)
- Knowledge of UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) Workforce Management software or similar systems
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Understanding of multi-state tax and labor laws
- Airline Industry experience
- Bi-lingual (preferably Spanish)
Crewmember Expectations:
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
- Able to maintain a professional appearance
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

Compensation:
- The base pay range for this position is between $24.00 and $28.00 per hour. Base pay is one component of JetBlue's total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
