We support customers with Centers of Excellence in Washington DC, Huntsville, AL and Burlington, MA with an additional 36 locations across the U.S. JOB DETAILS Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Test and Evaluation Engineer (Senior) located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio to support our EPASS GB contract. As part of the AFLCMC/GB Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate (BES), the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Initiative (MROi) is a DOTMLPF-P transformation and standardization of both the business processes and enabling materiel solution which provides Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) with an integrated capability for planning, scheduling and executing organic depot maintenance to support agile planning, optimized workload assignment, resource allocation and integrated quality. The MROi materiel solution is a web-enabled system operating wholly within the .mil network. It implements a configured Oracle enterprise Business Suite (eBS) Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software product with 'complex MRO' being the core module for user interaction. This is supplemented with the integration of other necessary eBS suite modules plus Reports, Interfaces, Conversions and Extensions (RICE) objects which are deemed necessary to provide the required functionality. MROi implementation is divided into four software releases with capabilities to plan, schedule and execute organic depot maintenance processes within the commodities, electronics, missile and propulsion maintenance groups. MROi replaces dissimilar legacy systems and processes used across numerous geographic locations with a common enterprise business system that optimizes resource and workload assignments, facilitates what- if planning and frees-up logistics capacities aimed at improving capabilities availability to the warfighter. MROi operates within a Defense Information System Agency (DISA) hosted environment and interfaces with various legacy systems to support continuous operations within the depot maintenance environment. Responsibilities: This position requires a highly motivated individual with experience in Test and Evaluation support. Duties involve the management, supervision, or performance of work in: Test and Evaluation (T&E) support for product lines, capability delivery teams, and development and delivery of BES Test Services. These shall be accomplished in accordance with DoD, AF, AFMC, AFLCMC, BES, product line, and/or capability delivery team, Acquisition and T&E policy, guidance processes and procedures, and standard tools and services. Key policy and guidance includes, but is not limited to, AFI 99-103, Capabilities Based Test and Evaluation and related policy and guidance.
Job Requirements/Required Qualifications: The successful candidate possesses and demonstrates the advanced knowledge, experience and recognized ability to be considered an expert in the software test field, possess the ability to perform tasks and oversee the efforts of junior and mid-level personnel within the software test discipline. Possesses a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures and practices in the software test field.
EDUCATION: Minimum Recommended Education and Experience: Advanced Degree (MA/MS) or Doctorate from an ABET accredited program in Computer Science, Information Technology or other Engineering Discipline and 10 years of experience, 5 of which must be in the DoD, or BA/BS Degree from an ABET accredited program in Computer Science, Information Technology or other Engineering Discipline and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD, or, 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications, 8 of which must be in the DoD.
